The spread is handcrafted by Artisans in the southern sheep raising area of south America. The size of the tiles varies by artist but kth 1016 has tiles that are commonly 2 in. Because the spreads are often assembled on a frame, the spreads are Artisan straight edged. The pattern design is created using small rectangular pieces tiles of sheared fur lambskin that vary some in size to produce a spread that is soft and flexible.
